Mafia III New Bordeaux Map Guide

Navigate all ten New Bordeaux districts, understand territory and junction-box sectors, and build efficient mission, collectible, and driving routes.

New Bordeaux contains ten named districts: Delray Hollow, River Row, Pointe Verdun, Downtown, Tickfaw Harbor, Barclay Mills, Frisco Fields, Southdowns, the French Ward, and Bayou Fantom. Nine participate directly in Lincoln’s criminal campaign; Bayou Fantom is the rural and wetland region used for travel, hideouts, and several activities rather than a normal two-racket district award.

The map becomes far more useful after junction boxes are wiretapped. Treat each box as a local information layer, not a one-time collectible chore.

Learn the city by function, not just compass direction

Home territories

Delray Hollow, River Row, and Pointe Verdun establish Cassandra, Vito, and Burke. Their early campaign chapters teach the takeover loop.

Industrial routes

Tickfaw Harbor and Barclay Mills mix warehouses, rail lines, yards, and waterfront access where entrances may sit far from the map icon.

Dense city streets

Downtown, Southdowns, and the French Ward reward short blocks, alleys, stairs, and careful parking more than maximum driving speed.

Open edges

Frisco Fields and Bayou Fantom spread landmarks across estates, roads, water, and compounds; route planning saves the longest return trips.

District borders matter because racket ownership, sit-down decisions, and collectible checklists are organized around them. Junction-box sectors are smaller than districts, so one tapped box does not reveal every icon in that named area.

Build a repeatable takeover route

Begin at the district contact, then collect fuses along the road to the first investigation. Tap the box covering the active racket boss before the confrontation. Reduce the required earn, handle the boss, and repeat for the second racket.

After both operations are controlled, prepare for the lieutenant or capo mission. Assign the district at the sit-down only after checking who currently holds its rackets. Keeping both with the intended recipient prevents an unnecessary loyalty loss.

Use the journal’s damage number to decide which sites are worth visiting. The map often shows more destruction opportunities than the mission needs. A direct high-value target can save a cross-district detour.

New Bordeaux has multi-level industrial buildings, raised highways, drainage paths, waterfront platforms, and properties with rear entrances. When the marker is directly above Lincoln but the item or door is absent, widen the search instead of circling the same room.

Look for exterior stairs, an alley entrance, a rooftop route, a tunnel, or a bridge approach on the next block. In swamp and island areas, the road endpoint may be less useful than a dock or a boat. At hostile compounds, clear immediate threats and then inspect offices, trailers, and catwalks.

Map icons can also point into interiors that open during story or racket missions. If every visible entrance is locked, advance the district and return after the location’s mission rather than forcing a glitchy approach.

Route collectibles district by district

Wiretapping reveals nearby Playboys, Vargas paintings, album covers, communist propaganda, Hot Rod magazines, and Repent magazines. Turn on only the filter for the collection you are sweeping; six overlapping icon types make entrance problems harder to diagnose.

Keep a small checklist with district, item identity, and access note. Album covers have names, magazines have dates, and paintings are easier to track with a numbered route. A district label alone is not enough when several pickups sit close together.

Clear accessible collectibles while a racket site is open, but postpone story-sensitive interiors. After a district is controlled, enemy pressure and locked spaces often become easier to manage. The collection menu should confirm each pickup before you leave.

Choose cars and services for the route

A high top speed helps on the long outer roads, while predictable handling is better in Downtown or the French Ward. Use vehicle delivery to call a known car rather than searching traffic for the perfect model. Upgrade only the vehicle classes you actually drive or race.

Banking service, mobile arms supply, police-response tools, and vehicle delivery reduce return trips as underboss earn rises. Before a long sweep, deposit cash, refill ammunition, and set a waypoint to the farthest location. Work back toward a safehouse or mission contact so the trip ends somewhere useful.

There is no standard instant fast travel. Combining missions, fuses, junction boxes, and collectibles within one district is the game’s practical substitute.

Recover from map and progression confusion

If a racket icon remains after its target is destroyed, check the journal for the actual remaining damage value. A different site may be necessary, or the event may not have saved. Move away, allow an autosave, and reload the closest checkpoint.

If collectibles do not appear, verify the relevant sector—not merely the district—has been wiretapped. If a box refuses interaction, obtain three fuses and approach from the panel side. Some boxes sit within hostile zones, so clearing nearby enemies may be required to use them safely.

The October 2026 Steam patch addressed multiple mission and checkpoint blockers. Update AppID 360430 and verify files before following older downgrade instructions. For a reproducible problem, record the district, mission, sector, objective text, and save state.
