Mafia III Album Cover Locations

Collect all 30 Mafia III album covers with a title-based checklist, district routing, building-entry tips, and recovery steps for a missing record.

Mafia III hides 30 album covers throughout New Bordeaux. Each pickup adds a real period record to the Collections gallery. Because every cover has an artist or album identity, the quickest complete route is to track titles, wiretap the relevant sectors, and clear the set by district rather than follow a citywide video without notes.

The covers sit on desks, counters, boxes, shelves, and floors. Their square shape can disappear into business clutter, so use the map icon to choose the building and the title list to confirm the pickup.

Set up a title-first checklist

Before the sweep, open the album collection and note which covers are already present. Compare those names with a 30-item location guide. A title tells you more than “Downtown complete” because one district can contain several records and older saves may already own part of the set.

Diners and bars

Inspect counters, back rooms, stages, booths, and office surfaces after the venue is safe.

Shops and service sites

Look behind the public area, near storage boxes, and in the manager's room rather than stopping at the front door.

Depots and warehouses

Check lower offices, stairs, rail-side rooms, and desks separated from the main floor.

Homes and compounds

Search every accessible level and return after the associated mission if an interior is locked.

Wiretapping is the discovery tool, not the completion tracker. The collection menu and written title list decide whether a district is truly finished.

Follow the icon to the correct entrance

An album icon placed over a large property does not reveal which door opens. Park outside the search circle and walk the perimeter. Alleys, loading entrances, and stairwells commonly lead closer to the item than the main street doorway.

At Joey’s All-American Diner, published guides place a cover on a counter. At a rail-depot location, the useful route goes down into an office and toward a desk. These examples show why the surrounding business type matters: the object usually appears where a worker or customer might leave a record, not at the exact center of the icon.

Rotate the camera slowly when the interaction prompt should be close. Album art can blend with paperwork, cardboard, and dark tabletops. If a gunfight just ended, wait for the alert state to clear so the prompt is not competing with weapons and bodies.

Combine the sweep with district takeovers

Collect covers inside racket compounds after the objective is complete. You already know the entrances, fewer enemies remain, and the autosave following the mission protects both progress types.

Clear the three home districts early, then add one contested district at a time. Dense central neighborhoods are efficient on foot once a car is parked; industrial districts need a vehicle and more attention to floor level. Frisco Fields and the outer map benefit from a long planned loop rather than individual return trips.

Carry spare fuses and tap boxes along the route. If a district has multiple untapped sectors, reveal them before hunting so you do not confuse an absent icon with a collected cover.

Preserve an accurate subtotal

After two or three pickups, open Collections and confirm the names. Mark the title, district, and recognizable landmark. A good note reads “The Temptations — depot desk,” not simply “album 18.”

If a pickup occurs immediately before Lincoln dies, confirm it remains in the gallery after reload. The object may visually disappear during the failed attempt but return with the older checkpoint.

Avoid using the global 161-collectible number as your album counter. That total combines Playboys, Vargas paintings, propaganda, Hot Rod and Repent magazines, and album covers. Only the 30-record list proves this collection is done.

Find the last missing cover

Identify the missing artist or title in Collections, then search that exact name with “Mafia III location.” This is much faster than replaying a 30-stop route from the beginning. Compare at least one written guide and one visual route when the building has multiple floors.

If the title appears collected but an icon remains, approach and verify that it is actually another collectible type nearby. Toggle every other filter off. If the correct cover is absent, reload before entering the district, verify files, and return after its related story access is open.

Some old posts describe covers missing from the map after earlier patches. On the current Steam build, begin with the normal wiretap and checkpoint checks. Do not replace the executable or import someone else’s save to solve a single uncertain icon.

Decide whether the set fits your goal

Completing the album gallery is an exploration objective, not a required Steam achievement by itself. It is worthwhile for players interested in the soundtrack and period setting, while an achievement-only route can collect convenient covers without committing to all 30.

The best time for a full sweep is after the main campaign has opened all districts and before you archive the save. Associate vehicle delivery and mobile services shorten preparation, and most hostile interiors have already been cleared.

Keep the final completed save locally as well as in Steam Cloud. The gallery is tied to save data; it is not a separate account-wide museum that can reconstruct missing files.
